Primapol is a “one-stop-shop”, holding over 1,000 different aerospace materials & items in stock – from a wide range of metals and alloys produced by leading manufacturers such as Alcoa, Kaiser, Aleris, Alcan (SW), AMAG and many more. Our group’s long-term commitment with producers ensures availability of stock, reliability, continuity and quality.

Primapol’s “total customer package” is supported by processing equipment, including advanced cut-to-size lines, fully automatic disc saws, coating line, band saws and more. Our warehouses cover more than 9,000 sqm including more than 8,000 sqm of covered storage areas.

Aircraft Aluminum

Aluminum and its alloys are a traditional and proven material used in the aerospace industry in the construction of all types of aircraft. The increasing demands on savings in the production and operation of these aircraft have been forced by the application of new construction materials such as composites, laminates, modified polymers or alloys produced by powder metallurgy, as well as the use of new design solutions. These new design solutions primarily consist of replacing traditional screwed, riveted and glued structures with monolithic units, which are produced by forming, machining or 3D printing. Existing production infrastructures, technological processes and skills of established aircraft manufacturers focused on aluminum and its alloys mean certain temporary limitations for new construction materials in the ability to assert them and bring expected savings, but especially their lower weight and other new and unique technological properties are positively reflected. Into the economy of aircraft operation and thus cause their ever wider application.

However, aluminum and its alloys continue to play an important and in some cases irreplaceable place in the aerospace industry, and although new aluminum alloys are virtually non-existent, improvements in metallurgical processes and precision heat treatment processes reduce specific gravity while maintaining or increasing mechanical and technological properties and thus increases the ability of aluminum and its alloys to compete with new materials and be used in new generations of aircraft
